Chocolate Cherry Microwave Brownies

1 (10.65-oz.) package Pillsbury Microwave Fudge Brownie Mix
1/3 cup hot water
¼ cup oil
½ cup vanilla milk chips
¼ cup maraschino cherries, well drained, chopped

Microwave Directions: In medium bowl, combine brownie mix, water and oil. Stir 50 strokes by hand or until well blended. Spread batter evenly in ungreased Pillsbury 7-inch square microwave pan.

Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Rotate one-half turn (including oven with turntables). Microwave an additional 2 minutes (or 3 minutes in compact ovens under 600 watts). Brownies are done when the top surface loses almost all of wet appearance in center. if brownies are not done, continue microwaving in 30-second intervals. Place on heat-proof counter. Immediately sprinkle with vanilla milk chips; let stand 5 minutes or until chips are softened. If necessary, microwave brownies and chips on high an additional 10 seconds to soften chips. Gently spread softened chips over brownies; sprinkle with cherries. Cool 15 minutes; cut into bars. 9 bars.
