Lacy Oatmeal Florentines

Cookies
½ cup sugar
Dash salt
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups quick-cooking rolled oats

Glaze
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Heat oven to 375º F. Grease cookie sheets. In small bowl, beat sugar, salt, ½ cup butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir in oats; mix well. (Dough will be crumbly.) Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheetse; flatted slightly.

Bake at 375º F for 4 to 6 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completley.

In small saucepan, melt glaze ingredients over low heat, stirring constantly. Drizzle over cooled cookies. 3 dozen cookies.
